President
Angela M. Scott
Angela Scott is an attorney representing Douglas W. Neway, Chapter 13 Standing Trustee for the Jacksonville Division. Prior to serving as the Chapter 13 Trustee’s attorney, Ms. Scott was an associate attorney at The Law Offices of Jason A. Burgess, LLC, where she practiced bankruptcy, including matters involving business restructuring, complex bankruptcy litigation, and consumer bankruptcy. She is admitted to practice before all Florida Courts, the U.S. District and the Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida, her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law, and her L.LM in Business Law from Florida State University College of Law. She is also Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy.

Eugene J. Johnson, Jr.
Eugene Johnson received his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law (UDSL) in 2004. During his final year of law school, he was an extern law clerk for the Honorable William A. Clark, United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Ohio, at Dayton and the UDSL student nominee for the Distinguished Law Student Program of the American College of Bankruptcy. After working for various law firms in Ohio, Mr. Johnson moved to Jacksonville in 2008 and founded the Johnson Law Firm, P.A. Since then, he has filed over 3,000 consumer bankruptcy cases and now his practice focuses on the representation of creditors and Chapter 7 Panel Trustee’s in contested matters dealing with exemptions, turnover, avoidance, and dischargeabilty issues.

William B. McDaniel
William McDaniel is a partner with Lansing Roy, P.A. and represents both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy, foreclosure, and other collection proceedings, as well as individuals and estates in the areas of probate, estate planning, and asset protection/planning. Mr. McDaniel’s primary practice focus is in representing clients in Chapter 11 reorganization cases, and he has personally represented both individuals and businesses in successful reorganizations for hotels, restaurants, retail stores, developers, trucking companies, service providers, manufacturers, churches, real estate holding companies, and numerous other small businesses of all types. William is proficient and experienced in all areas of reorganization law and enjoys assisting clients in turning around their profitability.

Lauren W. Box
Lauren W. Box is an Associate Attorney with the Johnson Law Firm, P.A. For the last ten years, Ms. Box has focused her practice on bankruptcy litigation. Ms. Box started her practice assisting clients in Chapter 11 reorganizations. For the last six years, Ms. Box’s practice has focused on representation of Chapter 7 Panel Trustees in contested matters. Ms. Box received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. During law school, Ms. Box served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Chief Bankruptcy Judge Emeritus Paul M. Glenn (Bankr. M.D. Fla.). Ms. Box graduated Magna Cum Laude from her law school class and was awarded the Florida Coastal Law Review Staff Editor of the Year (2012-2013). Ms. Box is admitted to practice before all Florida State Courts, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Amy Leitch
Amy Leitch focuses her practice on a broad range of complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters, including debtor-creditor law, breach of contract, business torts, insurance, shareholder disputes, real estate, fraudulent transfers, landlord-tenant claims, judgment recovery, franchise disputes, product liability and warranty, and trusts and estates. She represents clients throughout the United States and frequently appears in bankruptcy and federal and state courts in Florida, Georgia, and Colorado. Amy is also committed to public service and provides pro bono services to various organizations and individuals.

Douglas W. Neway
Douglas Neway is the Chapter 13 Standing Trustee for the Jacksonville Division. He has served as Chairman of the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association, Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association, Orange County Bankruptcy Bar Association, Orlando Division’s Bankruptcy Judicial Liaison Committee and the Florida State Chairman of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. He is currently a member of the Florida Bar’s Bankruptcy/UCC Committee and Statewide Bankruptcy Judicial Liaison Committee. Mr. Neway was an Adjunct Professor of Advanced Bankruptcy at FAMU Law School and is a frequent lecturer on consumer bankruptcy topics at seminars, colleges and law schools.

Richard R. Thames
Richard Thames is a commercial lawyer, practicing since 1987. He received his Juris Doctorate, with honors, from Florida State University College of Law. Upon graduation, Mr. Thames served as Law Clerk for the Honorable George L. Proctor, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida, in both the Orlando and Jacksonville Divisions. Following a few years in private practice after his employment with Judge Proctor, Mr. Thames established his own practice specializing in commercial transactions, bankruptcy and litigation, eventually teaming with his current partner, Bradley Markey at Thames | Markey. He is Board Certified as a Business Bankruptcy Specialist by the American Board of Certification. Mr. Thames is a frequent lecturer on bankruptcy and commercial litigation topics.

Katheryn E. Hancock
Ms. Hancock joined the Thames Markey, P.A. as an associate in 2022. Ms. Hancock is admitted to practice before all Florida and Tennessee Courts, the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Ms. Hancock is a member of The Florida Bar and is the Vice President of the Jacksonville Beaches Bar Association. Ms. Hancock is a board member of the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association (President 2020). Ms. Hancock is also a board member of the St. Augustine Music Festival and is a past president of the Beaches Residents Actively Supporting the Symphony organization. Her practice areas include consumer and commercial bankruptcy as well as commercial litigation.

Ellsworth Summers
Ellsworth Summers is a partner in the firm's Jacksonville office where he practices in the firm's Creditor's Rights and Bankruptcy Practice Group. His practice focuses on assisting various stakeholders in commercial loan litigation in bankruptcy, federal and state courts. Ellsworth has extensive experience with workouts, business reorganizations and liquidations, distressed asset acquisitions, special counsel assignments and adversary proceedings. Mr. Summers has significant trial experience in federal and state court as a commercial litigator and has appeared before state and federal courts in 16 states, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Virginia. Prior to private practice, Ellsworth clerked for the Honorable Stephen C. St. John, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Jerrett McConnell
An experienced attorney in the areas of bankruptcy, business restructuring and turnarounds, and mediation, Jerrett McConnell has been in practice since 2000. He has a broad background in consumer and corporate bankruptcy, representing both debtors and creditors in all Chapters. Mr. McConnell also has vast experience serving as attorney for the Chapter 7 Trustees and is currently a Subchapter V Trustee for Jacksonville and Orlando. This combined experience has provided him the opportunity to represent businesses in financial peril, but intervene prior to needing to file bankruptcy and accomplish successful turnarounds. Mr. McConnell is also a Certified Circuit and Family Mediator and has been appointed as Mediator in numerous Mortgage Modification Mediations.

Allan Wulbern
Allan is a trial attorney whose practice is focused on commercial litigation and insolvency matters. Allan’s insolvency practice includes representation of debtors, creditors, Chapter 7 trustees, and state court receivers. Allan has trial experience in the state, federal, and bankruptcy courts. Allan also counsels owners of closely held corporations in legal and business matters. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Allan spent nine years in the Jacksonville banking industry, with a focus on real estate lending. Allan is the past president of the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association and currently serves as chairman of the board of directors, and he serves on the board of trustees at St. Johns Country Day School. He’s also an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd and volunteers on committees within the Episcopal Diocese of Florida. Allan was born and raised in Jacksonville and enjoys fishing in his free time.
